The basics
I am a queer cis lady in her early thirties who lives in the Portland metro. I moved here in 2017 to seek mental health treatment since the options in my hometown were lacking and I had tried, unsuccessfully, to get meaningful help for ten years. I used to work in the social services sector but I am now an auto insurance adjuster. It has less meaning but more money and less emotional exhaustion. I’m a Mormon-turned-agnostic atheist who spends a lot of time thinking about cults and high-control organizations. Most of my time and energy goes into understanding my illness and trying to get better.
I currently see a therapist twice a week and am on psychotropic medication.
